Rain is awesome

I actually meant to write this last night but I got lazy and eepy, so oops :P

graaahhh the beast coming inside me

graaahhh the beast coming inside me

Some people that I’ve talked to in my life have complained about the sudden change in weather that has taken place around the Seattle area, mainly because of the frequent raining. However, as I may have stated many times already, I really like the rain.

Not all the time though, like once, I was driving home from work and it was raining so hard, I almost hydroplaned several times, but besides that sorta thing, I can confidently say that I really like rain.

What prompted me to write this was when I was going to bed last night. I got off my phone and began to settle into bed more as the warmth of my blanket, the darkness enveloping my room, it all began to overtake me and hypnotize me to sleep. And the cherry on top?

The rain outside, the sound of it pitter pattering on the roof and bushes outside discretely making its way into my room through the cracked open window. It really set the mood for me that night and made it quite pleasant to fall asleep.

I think the rain was one of my favorite things about moving back to Washington, but also, oddly enough, Arizona, where I used to live. When it did rain in Arizona, it usually rained HARD. I remember the first big rainstorm I experienced in Arizona was not long after I moved there, I believe, around August 2020? But we had NEVER seen anything like those storms in Washington before (though not gonna lie, that one from last week that almost hydroplaned me seemed close). If there’s one thing I miss about Arizona, it’s the intense rain. But I also really like having rain every once in a while instead of once in a blue moon, and it’s definitely nicer of a vibe to have more soft and gentle rain.

I think the reason I like rain so much also relates to how much I stay inside though, haha. Notice how when I talk about rain, I only talk about HEARING it, not BEING in it. I do like being in it, but I’m more of an indoors person, usually only going out to meet friends and do errands rather than normally, which sounds bad, but I do go outside all the time anyways, so I don’t think much of it.

The main point everyone reading should take away from this is that rain is awesome.
